Sophomore Honors English

Sophomore Honors English is designed to prepare students for the rigors of Ferris High School's Advanced Placement English classes, college and life beyond. An extensive focus is placed on improving reading and writing skills. Writer's workshop is the model for writing instruction. While instruction and assessment are designed to building and strengthen Common Core skills, an emphasis is placed on identifying the big messages in quality fiction and non fiction to apply to present and future lives.

My Goal: A classroom environment that is challenging, engaging, encouraging and fun.
